REGISTER FOR THE SINGAPORE - IEA REGIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME ON LOW CARBON BUILDINGS

Facing the context that the world is confronting with severe impacts on climate and environment, "Zero Carbon" appears as a timely solution for the world, becoming an attractive race for countries who want to take the lead with the techniques to reduce carbon emissions, approach technology, innovate and save national resources. With the heat coming from this race, in partnership with the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, the IEA will host a virtual Southeast Asia Regional Training Programme on Low-Carbon Buildings.
This training event will bring together policy makers, academics, architects and engineers, buildings designers and owners, utilities, housing associations and the construction industry across Southeast Asia to establish the path towards a low-emission, efficient and resilient buildings and construction sector by 2050.
EXCHANGE EXPERIENCES AND ENHANCE SELF-WORTH
The training will offer a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, and practical exercises that will allow participants to exchange experiences and learn from international best practices. Participants will have a chance to explore:
Energy efficient, clean and zero-carbon buildings by design.
Smart and energy efficient building systems and operations.

Viet Nam has faced power shortage due to the unstable world energy market and the extreme weather, affecting the production enterprises, especially those in the industrial production sector. Surveys from the National Energy Efficiency Program for the period of 2019-2030 show that the potential for energy saving in the industrial sector in Viet Nam is about approx. 20% - 30% of total energy consumption.
