BP1 - Servo for sewing machine

Project Summary: A footwear manufacturing enterprise in Thanh Hoa Province has replaced asynchronous motors with servo ones for the sewing machines. The project objective is to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Status before implementation

The factory possessed 6 sewing factories and 95 sewing lines, including conventional and servo motor sewing machines.

The factory was in the process of replacing the conventional with servo motors in the sewing lines. The total number of sewing machines was 1,678, of which 1,198 had been replaced with servo motors. The remaining 480 machines were using conventional types.
