Status before implementation The plant used two (2) air blowers (5.5 kW/unit) in the wastewater treatment area. The factory operated air blowers at fixed capacity. However, normally the blower operation is based on the oxygen concentration in the conditioning tank. If the DO concentration in the tank is large, it is possible to reduce the speed of the blower motor, provide the required amount of oxygen, and at the same time reduce the power consumption of the blower.

Result The factory installed VSD for one air blower.
VSD of air blower and conditioning tank After installation, the current operating frequency of the blower is 12.6 Hz. The average working capacity of air blowers is 6.9 kW. |
