Status before implementation The plant used two boilers with capacity of 15 tons/hour/boiler. The input fuel is coal which is consumed about 53 tons/day. The steam of the boiler is supplied to the dyeing factory. The oxygen content in the exhaust flue gas was relatively high. The test results of oxygen content in the boiler's exhaust flue gas are: - Boiler 1: 15,9%. - Boiler 2: 14,6%. When coal is burnt in the combustion chamber, the oxygen content in the exhaust flue gas should be within 8-10%. High content of oxygen indicates an excessive air supply resulting in increased heat loss through the exhaust flue gas. Calculations showed that the existing boiler efficiency was about 76%. |
Result The factory has invested in one new high-efficiency steam boiler with steam capacity of 25 tons/hour, to replace the two old and low-efficiency boilers. The new boiler is integrated with oxygen sensors, inverters controlling the ID and FD fans as well as feedwater economizer and air pre-heater.
