BP11 - Recover condensate of boiler
Address: Trang Bang Industrial Park, Tay Ninh
Name of the Manager: Le Van Linh
Project Summary: A textile and dyeing enterprise in Tay Ninh conducted the recovery of condensate from the drying drum of the washing machines. The project objective is to reduce the steam amount consumed by the washing machines, thereby reducing the fuel consumption of the boiler.
Year of implementation: 2020
Status before implementation The company has two (02) continuous washing machines. After washing, drying drums use steam for indirect heat exchange with the fabric. Steam consumption per machine was 850 kg of steam/hour (based on the equipment’s catalog). The used steam then turns into the high-temp condensate water. Condensate from the drying drums of these two washing machines is not recovered (but discharged to sewer). The recoverable condensate volume would be 425 kg/hour (estimated at 50% of steam consumption).
Fluidized bed combustion boiler at the factory
Input fuel: Coal imported from Indonesia |
Result The company has installed a pipeline system to recover the condensate from the two washing machines to the intermediate hot water tanks. Such recovered hot water is reused for other production stages. The condensate amount recovered during the operation of a washing machine is about 6 liters/minute (equivalent to 360 liters/hour). Condensate recovered to the intermediate tanks |
