The Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community Website (VEECOM Website) was built and developed within the framework of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (4E)Project under the cooperation program between Viet Nam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) and Deutsche Gesellschaft fürInternationale Zusammenarbeit(GIZ) GmbH, Germany.
The purpose of the VEECOM website is to provide reliable information on policies, technologies, equipment and services for energy efficiency. It contributes to gradually improve awareness, understanding and practical experiences of economical and efficient use of energy in production, business, firstly for those who are directly involved in the energy efficiency field.
The VEECOM website is also a channel to regularly provide and update useful information for energy managers, energy auditors certified by MOIT, and relevant stakeholders such as energy efficiency experts, lecturers at universities and vocational colleges, researchers in institutions, equipment suppliers and state management officials in the field of energy efficiency. Personnel in the energy efficiency sector, especially technicians in enterprises can access calculation tools, information about energy efficiency service and technology providers, best practice solutions and relevant forms to simplify professional work. Thereby, they canstep by step improve their professional capabilities and skills.
Especially, an important part of the VEECOM website is the “Energy Efficiency Forum”, which has been set up by linking and integrating selected information sources. The Forum is a playground for the Viet Nam energy efficiency community to directly exchange expertise, proactively share experiences and innovative ideas, improve knowledge through competitions and learn from each other. The Forum also aims to accommodate members’ needs on latest technologies, best-practice solutions and facilitate the connection with energy efficiency services and technology providers.
The content, appearance and operation method of VEECOM Website will be continuously updated and improved to become more friendly, useful and attractive to users. We look forward to receiving support, feedback, participation in writing articles and interactions on the Forum from organizations, businesses, state management agencies on energy efficiency and individuals who are energy experts, business technicians, energy managers, energy auditors, etc... so that the Website "Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community" has increasingly higher quality and better serves community demands.
