2023 marks an important milestone, celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the GIZ/ESP being officially established when Energy became one of the priority areas for the Vietnam-Germany cooperation.
Over the past decade, GIZ/ESP has actively supported the Vietnamese Government and its partners to develop the renewable energy sector. We are proud of what we have achieved so far.
On the occasion of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, 21 June 2003, GIZ/ESP hosted a meeting with journalists specialising in clean energy transition in Viet Nam. We shared the Program’s activities as well as our plans in providing technical support to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) and its partners to foster the renewable energy development and just energy transition process in Viet Nam. This was also an opportunity for GIZ/ESP to thank journalists for their support over the years in shaping public discourse and driving positive changes in the energy industry in Viet Nam.
The event gathered over 20 journalists from mainstream media outlets and press agencies in Viet Nam. The GIZ/ESP’s experts shared their views on relevant topics of interest such as the impacts of the Power Development Plan VIII (PDP on the development of renewable energy, offshore wind and rooftop solar power development, Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP). All the participants had a dynamic discussion and exchange.
