GERMANY JOINS HANDS WITH VIETNAM IN THE ENERGY AND JOB TRANSITION

This morning (September 20th), CONFERENCE: Just Energy Transition = Job Accelerator for Viet Nam? German-Vietnamese perspectives on employment and skills needs has engaged the direct and virtual participation of nearly 500 delegates for analysis and evaluation of the values that Energy Transition has been bringing to Vietnam’s economic development as well as the labor market.

Vietnam, along with the international community, committed to strive for the carbon neutrality target by 2050 and pursue a just energy transition. The Conference hopes to create a forum to bring the topic of Energy Transition associated with Job Transition closer to the public, meanwhile propose breakthrough and comprehensive solutions for this transition progress to ensure fairness for the purpose of “no one is left behind”.

Addressing at the event, Dr. Guido Hildner, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam emphasized that Germany is a long-term and reliable partner of Vietnam and he believed that this relationship would positively contribute to a just energy transition and green future towards the sustainable development for Vietnam.
